NEW for 2024! Join us to help you journey into the wider world of sailing.
We have a terrific team of presenters to share with you their expertise and experiences of venturing into the wider world of sailing – both Cruising and Racing.
These sessions will inspire you and give you an insight on how to organise and plan these trips for yourself. Don’t worry if you are not currently a boat owner. There will be ideas for chartering or finding opportunities as crew or an opportunity to dream up plans for the future.
The Sessions are:
Cruising
Thursday 1st Feb: Introduction to the Series
Thursday 15th Feb: East Coast Rivers including the Thames
Tuesday 20th Feb: Solent, West Country, Isles of Scilly and Channel Islands
Thursday 29th Feb: Netherlands
Tuesday 12th March: Baltic
Tuesday 19th March: Round Britain with emphasis on Scotland Ireland
Racing
Thursday 8th Feb: Introduction to the Series
Thursday 22nd Feb: East Anglian Offshore Racing and RTI Race
Thursday 7th March: Mersea Week and Mersea RTI Race
Thursday 21st March: Fastnet and Ocean Racing
There is no cost to attend these sessions.
All meetings will be in the Longroom at West Mersea Yacht Club, starting at 19:30 and are scheduled to run for around two hours – the bar will be open before and at half time!
We strongly recommend you come to the initial sessions of the series.
These initial sessions will give an overview with an idea of what is to come.
